We are delighted to announce that our IoT solution has been awarded the coveted Computing Big Data & IoT Excellence Award 2017 for IoT Product of the Year.
Shortlisted alongside industry giants, IMS Evolve was named the category winner by Computing's Editorial Director, Stuart Sumner, at the much-anticipated gala dinner and ceremony that took place on Wednesday 17 May.
The Awards are designed to celebrate the achievements of the IT industry's best Big Data and IoT companies, solutions, products and personalities. The IMS Evolve IoT solution has been recognised on account of its proven ability in the cold chain to leverage data from existing infrastructure and deliver multiple business cases at scale – namely the rapid deployment across thousands of retail stores in the UK and America.
From the warehouse, during transportation, all the way to the end user, storing produce at a safe and constant temperature is business critical. The supply chain complexity of this has, until now, made it ineffectual for organisations to set refrigerators at different optimum temperatures to suit the produce within each individual unit. Leaving them with little choice but to opt for the lowest temperature required.
In unlocking the ability to access and monitor billions of points of data from the entire supply chain infrastructure, the IMS Evolve IoT solution enables a real-time, all-encompassing visibility of the cold chain. Through integration into all environmental control systems, each machine within a storage location can be automatically set at the optimum temperature, ensuring more efficient use of resources that provides consumers with the best quality produce.
“IMS Evolve has been providing services and delivering value across large retail environments since 2001,” comments Frank Jones, CEO, IMS Evolve. “ROI is consistently delivered within the first year, and the solution has already proven its initial monetisation models at scale internationally and across verticals. These are achievements we are very proud of and we’re thrilled to see them recognised in the industry – and by one of the leading technology business publications no less.”
